Summer Solstice Writing Workshop

All good stories are about change, forged in the heat of conflict, big and small. Characters learn, grow, move on; poems shift perspective, question the status quo, see things somehow differently.

When the sun stands still at the solstice, however momentarily, it gives us the opportunity to reflect and harness the energy of high summer for growth and transformation.

Working in the beautiful pavilion space in the walled garden at Museum in the Park, we will use these themes and ideas to spark off and inform new writing in this workshop.

This fun, experimental and interactive workshop will be suitable for all levels and forms, from beginners to more advanced writers of poetry and prose.

For adults and young people aged 16+.

With JLM Morton in the Walled Garden Pavilion at Museum in the Park, Stroud.

Cost: £5 for Museum members, £15 concessions, £20 full price. Please note that you can join the Museum and become a member for free to receive regular updates of exhibitions and events. This membership will entitle you to the £5 ticket price for this workshop. It’s a no brainer…
