Even Now: Writing Toward Hope
A three part poetry workshop series
Hope isn’t a feeling, it’s a practice. In this three-part workshop series, we’ll explore how poetic language can help us navigate uncertainty, reimagine possibility, and tend to what matters most.
Through guided writing prompts, shared readings and conversation, we’ll uncover how poetry can hold grief and grace, rupture and renewal. Whether you’re a seasoned poet or just starting out, this series offers a space to reflect, create, and connect.
What to expect:
Thoughtfully curated poems that speak to resilience, tenderness, and transformation
Writing exercises to deepen insight and fire your imagination
A supportive, non-judgmental space for reflection and optional sharing
Rituals and practices to sustain hope in everyday life
We will cover three key themes over the workshop series:
Hope begins in the dark - naming what hurts, looking for light
Imagining otherwise - reframing self, story, and future
Tending the flame- carrying hope forward through creative practice
Expect to learn from poems by Warsan Shire, Seamus Heaney, Lucille Clifton, Adam Limon, Mary Oliver and more.
The workshops will take place online via Zoom. The tutor for this workshop series is JLM Morton.
