Hosted by Dialect, the Indie Press Network Poetry Salon returns to Museum in the Park on 1st October for an evening of readings, conversation and independent publishing on the eve of National Poetry Day.
The evening brings together writers, editors and readers who value the imagination and experimentation that small presses make possible. Expect lively discussion, new work and a welcoming space to meet others shaping today’s poetry landscape. An ideal way to step into the spirit of the national celebration ahead.
Our readers for October are Milena Williamson, Cheryl Moskowitz, Erin Robinsong, Emma Clowsley and Zo Copeland, Allyson Hallet, Teddy Mills and Cherry Potts reading as a quartet!

About the poets…
Emma Clowsley is an award winning poet, performer, host and workshop facilitator whose work explores relationships, boundaries and stereotypes. Taking queer narratives into mainstream spaces, she aims to nurture understanding and compassion between communities. www.emmaclowsley.co.uk
Erin Robinsong is a poet and interdisciplinary artist working with ecological imagination. She is the author of Rag Cosmology (Book*hug, 2017) and Wet Dream (Brick Books, 2022), both winners of the AM Klein Prize for Poetry. Her readings and performances have been presented by the More Than Human Life (MOTH) Festival, The Architectural Association School of Architecture, Toronto International Festival of Authors, OFFTA Live Art Festival, Fierce Festival, Blackwood Gallery, and more.
Milena Williamson is from Swarthmore, Pennsylvania. Her debut collection, Into the Night that Flies So Fast, was published with Dedalus Press in 2024. Her poems have appeared in The London Magazine, Oxford Poetry, The Stinging Fly, The Kenyon Review and more. In 2021, she received the Society of Authors’ Eric Gregory Award and in 2026, Milena was shortlisted for the Laurel Prize.
Zo Copeland (they/them) is a writer from South Devon. They are inspired by their lived experiences of queerness and disability, and by their magical experiences in nature. Zo writes to connect with people, evoke change, and challenge taboo subjects. Their work is published or forthcoming by Querencia Press, Vital Minutiae Quarterly, and Wishbone Words Magazine. Alyson Hallett is a prize-winning poet based in a village near Bath. Her latest poetry book is Covid/Corvid (Broken Sleep Books) and was co-authored with Penelope Shuttle. Known as the stone poet, Alyson has collaborated with sculptors and letters carvers, has poetry carved into Bath city pavement, companion stones in the Peak District and granite boulders in Cornwall. She has been curating her international poetry and public art project, The Migration Habits of Stones, for two decades.
Teddy Mills is a poet and writer based in Swansea, Wales. He earned his PhD in Applied Linguistics in 2024
Cherry Potts is the Director of Arachne Press, for whom she is editor/co-editor of most of our anthologies. Cherry is the winner of the Quill Prose Prize, and the author of two collections of short stories: Mosaic of Air, (republished by Arachne Press in 2013), and Tales Told Before Cockcrow (currently out of print); a photographic diary of a community opera The Blackheath Onegin, and a fantasy novel, The Dowry Blade (Arachne Press 2016). She has many short stories published in many anthologies, and a few poems here and there.
